Nobina wins tender for Route 321, double-decker service between Gothenburg and Stenungsund
Nobina will start operating Route 321 for Västtrafik under a ten-year agreement beginning in June 2026. The service will be operated with 17 brand-new double-decker buses.
Currently known as Stenungsundsexpressen, the line will be renamed Route 321 as part of the procurement process. Route 321 is an essential commuting route between Gothenburg and Stenungsund but also provides local travel opportunities between Nösnäs and Kungälv.
To enhance passenger comfort, the new service will feature 17 modern double-decker buses, specially procured for the launch.
“We are very pleased that Västtrafik has entrusted us with the operation of Route 321 and look forward to developing the service in collaboration with Västtrafik and the Municipality of Stenungsund. The investment in double-decker buses allows us to deliver public transport that prioritizes passenger experience while also contributing to sustainable development,” says Martin Pagrotsky, Managing Director of Nobina Sweden.
The award decision can be appealed until November 29, 2024.
